What is Fairy Hair?
Fairy Hair is also called hair tinsel, glitter strands, shimmers, sparkle strands, or silk extensions. It comes in a myriad of vibrant colors and is added to the hair to add sparkle and bling.
Think of it as hair jewelry!
Fairy Hair strands of your choice are applied with a micro bead. We like this method much better than the tie-in method as it last much longer (typically 4-8 weeks) but can also be taken out whenever you want.
You also get way more Fairy Hair using the bead.
If you desire tie-in let us know and we would be glad to tie them in.
The Fairy Hair becomes just like another hair strand and can be treated just like your own hair. You can brush it, wash it, blow dry it, flat iron it, and curl it!
Fairy Hair can handle up to 400 degrees of heat!
As long as your hair is long enough, Fairy Hair can be applied to many different kinds of hair.
What are Hair Feathers & Colored Extensions?
Hair Feathers come in many vibrant colors and are attached to the hair with a crimp bead.
Colored hair extensions are just colored strands of hair that are also attached to the hair with a crimp bead.
They both can be washed, blow dried, flat ironed and curled right with your own hair!
They last 2 to 6 weeks on average.
We also apply Glitter Tattoos (or Flat Black) & Face Glitter

Tinsel & Glitter Parties was created by Colleen the Founder of The Kidz Salon in Rapid City, SD.
Colleen has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 30 years. She fell in love with Fairy Hair Tinsel the minute she saw it in someone's hair! She knew this was definitely something she wanted to offer at The Kidz Salon. All the kids have been loving the Fairy Hair! And even some moms have asked to have it put in their hair! Colleen came up with the idea to do Fairy Hair at festivals and events...ta da...
